As my regular readers know, I’ve been home in Seattle for a high school event the past week, and I don’t get back there often, so it gets pretty busy between hanging out with my parents and friends (and playing golf, etc.), and this time, an induction ceremony. Sorry for the late notification on why I haven’t been on top of things recently.
I’m back, though! Almost! I’ll be back to my regular routine of Tweeting, Instagramming, Facebooking, writing posts here, so tune in this week. I’m currently waiting for delayed flight to Chicago en route to Columbus for the Presidents Cup.
Australian golf commentator Luke Elvy — who is here at Oak Hill this week! — and I got together to talk Tiger Woods, the course set-up, our favorite picks for the PGA Championship.
We usually take questions from Twitter users, and while a few of you did submit some, we were already off-air. It’s my fault for the late notice and I haven’t been doing the #WUPHangouts as regularly as usual, which is changing THIS WEEK. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with a programming schedule, so you’ll know when to tune in.
So, please, submit questions — via e-mail or Twitter — and we’ll do our best to answer them! Thanks!
I pulled over at a rest stop driving back to NYC from the Philly area, so Luke Elvy and I could talk U.S. Open and answer some of your questions. You should watch just because I put in all the effort! Thanks!
Pardon the hiatus with the WUP Hangouts, which will be held more regularly once again going forward. Thanks to everyone for asking questions. Don’t forget, Luke Elvy and I will be bringing to you our show, “The Clubhouse,” tonight at 7pm EST. So get your questions and comments ready!
Well, that was a thrilling finish! Last night when I was writing my preview post for today, the headline I had type was: “One for the ages.” For some reason, I changed it, but turned out, this Masters really was one for the ages.
Thanks so much for tweeting your questions. FYI, we started answering them around the 22 minute mark.
Pardon my rambling in this Hangout — I’m not used to doing these alone. It’ll be better going forward, I promise (and once I get more reps, which I’ve heard are important!). Thanks as always for watching and special shout-out to those who asked questions. You guys rock.
In case you missed it, you can watch a wrap-up of tidbits from the first round of the Shell Houston Open. I also answered some reader questions.
Here’s one for you guys: How often should I be doing these wrap-up/Hangouts? Every day? Every other day? Thoughts?
Oh, by the way, thanks to Johnny for suggesting the name “Wei-ing in” — I think that’s a winner!
First of all, sorry for posting this so late, but there’s no breaking news or anything, so I think we will all survive (at least I hope!). Secondly, I apologize for the crappy connection on my end. Not sure why it was so bad since I’ve done several Hangouts in my apartment and there’s never been an issue.
Good news is Renee Skidmore — who plays on the Symetra Tour — looks lovely, so it’s worth tuning in to watch her and learn about chasing her dream to play on the LPGA. Bonus: She likes to dance (you may remember her from our amusing attempt at the Harlem Shake), and was kind enough to put on a show for everyone. Enjoy!
Whoops, I forgot to post this last night. It’s hard to keep track of all the social media channels these days, but good news is I’m in the process of a massive site redesign to bring WUP into 2013. Woot!
Anyway, Luke Elvy and I broadcasted our weekly wrap-up of last week in golf, and of course, it was mostly Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. (I’m sure you’re all shocked!) Check it out above and since this is a weekly program, we’re trying to come up with a catchy name for the show. Suggestions? Send ’em along! Thanks.
And of course, as always, we still have our training wheels and we’re open to constructive criticism and feedback. What would you like to see incorporated? Too long? Too informal? Keep doing what we’re doing? Let us know.
