Robert Streb birdied the second extra hole to beat Brendon de Jonge and Will Mackenzie, the 54-hole co-leader who was eliminated after bogeying the first playoff hole, and capture his first PGA Tour title at the McGladrey Classic.

On the par-3 179-yard 17th, Streb knocked a dart to about four feet from the cup. He rolled in the birdie putt to defeat de Jonge, who had just barely missed his 20-footer to extend the battle.

C’mon Aussie!

Battling tough and windy conditions at the Valero Texas Open on Sunday, Steven Bowditch held on to capture his first PGA Tour victory. Despite missing a three-footer on the last hole, the 30-year-old Australian had enough of a cushion to still win by a stroke over Will MacKenzie, who has finished 6th or better in three of his last four starts, and Daniel Summerhays.

Bowditch shot a final-round, four-over 76 — the highest non-major score by a winner since Fred Couples at the 1983 Kemper Open. But, who cares, a win is a win at the end of the day.

Snake charmer!
For a while, it looked like no one wanted to win in the final round of the Valspar Championship as the leaders got off to slow starts and at the same time, the contenders began to backup. Then, John Senden decided he was going to snare this victory for his first on the PGA Tour since 2006, beating out Kevin Na by one stroke.
