With Jason Day’s first major victory at the PGA Championship on Sunday, I thought it would be appropriate to re-post these videos that I did with Jason and his wife Ellie a little over four years ago when they gave me a tour of their RV home, which they stay in at just about every tournament (including last week). It’s also fitting because these were filmed shortly after Day’s first close call at a major when he finished T2 at the 2011 Masters.

These give you a good look at the Days just being the Days and what down-to-earth and wonderful people they are. Enjoy!

Jason Day doesn’t have to close his eyes and visualize winning a major anymore.

He’s done it — in record fashion, no less. Day fired a five-under 67, 20-under total, posting the lowest 72-hole score in relation to par in the history of major-championship golf.

The 27-year-old Australian broke through Sunday at Whistling Straits to capture his first major at the PGA Championship after several close calls in recent years.

Jordan Spieth didn’t win a third leg of the grand slam this season, but he certainly came close. Spieth simply couldn’t catch Jason Day, who played phenomenal golf with the lead in the final round of the PGA Championship.

There was nothing he could have done, Spieth would later tell Day in the scoring trailer.

After Bubba Watson drove his tee shot on the par-5 5th right of the fairway, he discovered his ball had come to rest on an ant hill. He called over a rules official to figure out whether or not he would get relief.

When he was told he had to play the ball as it lies because the ant hill was a “loose impediment,” he proceeded to argue with the official over the difference between ants, burrowing animals and tunneling animals.

For the third straight major, Jason Day has held the 54-hole lead — or at least a share of it — and heading into Sunday’s final round at Whistling Straits, the 26-year-old Australian is alone atop the leaderboard at 15-under, with Jordan Spieth trailing him by two shots. Seeing Day and Spieth’s names near the top has become a familiar sight for golf fans during this thrilling season at the majors, and the duo will play together in the final group of the PGA Championship.

Heading into the par-4 9th, Matt Jones held a two-shot lead when he took a page out of Phil Mickelson’s playbook and pulled his drive WAY left. I mean, it went so far left that it ended up on the deck of a hospitality tent. Jones had the option of taking relief and dropping in the gnarly rough, but he opted to take the perfect lie on the faux carpet instead.

Watch him hit this impressive shot that landed just left of the green in the rough:

Phil Mickelson didn’t sit down on a grassy slope and slide down a dune like a 10-year-old on Saturday at Whistling Straits, but he did have an adventurous day on the links en route to a sizzling six-under 66, which included nine birdies — the most he’s ever made in one round at a PGA Championship.

It’s been a strange couple of years for Mickelson, and by that, I mean, his golf game hasn’t exactly been up to par ever since his spectacular victory at the 2013 Open Championship. In fact, that was the last time Mickelson hoisted any trophy. At 45-years-old, you could speculate that his golf game has lost its steam. After all, he ain’t no spring chicken anymore.

Round two of the PGA Championship was suspended at 5:28pm local time due to inclement weather. Less than a half hour later, play was called for the day as thunderstorms, high winds and torrential rain hit Whistling Straits. The second round will resume at 7am Saturday morning.

This is certainly the right call as you’ve probably seen the multiple videos on Twitter. Like the ones below.
