Patrons exiting the premises

Stormy and wet weather on Monday halted practice rounds and closed the doors to Augusta National as patrons were asked to exit the premises. The Masters regulates that practice rounds begin no earlier than 8am, and play was suspended at 10am when sirens sounded across the course, so not much was accomplished.

Rain, rain, go away

Attention fans who were planning to attend the practice round for THE PLAYERS on Monday: Unfortunately, it’s been cancelled because there have been more than 5 inches of rain at TPC Sawgrass in the past two days. But Monday tickets will be honored for Tuesday.

Geez, what’s going on with the weather this year? It’s been absolutely cray-cray! Hopefully, the crappy weather has passed in Ponte Vedra because there have already been way too many delays due to Mother Nature’s wrath.

These two BFFs will be separated in round three

Well, maybe that just applies to me and those who aren’t playing in the tournament, but it does impact the players, too.  Just an FYI — due to the threat of thunderstorms in the Akron area on Saturday, the leaders at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational won’t have the privilege of sleeping in on Saturday.  (And yes, I realize I can do my job hungover, so we’ll see.)
