For the second year in a row, Henrik Stenson finished the European Tour’s Race to Dubai in style. The Swede posted a final round 70 to defend his title in the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, by two shots, holding off a trio of Ryder Cup teammates.

However, 24-year-old Victor Dubuisson was paired with his brother from another mother, Graeme McDowell, and they took down American stars Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson 3&2 in afternoon foursomes.

Sometimes you just need to play better. That’s exactly what Dubuisson did after a first round 74 that had him staring at the cut line. Over the last 36 holes, only Rory McIlroy has equaled Dubuisson’s rounds of 66-68.  The amazing turnaround has the Frenchman in fifth place at eight-under for the tournament.

There are many ways to qualify — excuse me, receive an invitation to the hallowed grounds of Augusta National to play in the Masters Tournament every April. Well, actually, there are 19 different ways, one of which is to finish in the top 50 in the Final Official World Golf Ranking for the previous calendar year.

Well, finally, there are no more golf tournaments with world ranking points this year — that list was published on Monday, and 14 players were added to the 2014 Masters field.
