Chelsea-Gates-Peter-Uihlein-

We chatted with 2010 U.S. Amateur Champion and European Tour pro Peter Uihlein last Friday — it was one of those rare days when he was actually at home in Jupiter, Florida, where he lives with his girlfriend Chelsea and his dog Bagger.

Pete talks with us about his first trip internationally as a pro in India, playing the Challenge Tour and European Tour, and his plans to compete in the Web.com Tour playoffs to try and earn his PGA Tour card for next season.

Check it out after the jump! (There’s also list of time stamps where we addressed specific topics.)

Take your pick — they’re good storylines.

In Phil Mickelson’s traditional Tuesday money game during a practice round of a major championship, the 45-year-old and Rickie Fowler will take on Masters and U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas at Whistling Straits. Even though a shot has yet to be hit, Spieth might be already 1-up on Phil.

Michelle Wie gave an emphatic fist pump after making a 20-footer for birdie on the 71st hole of the U.S. Women’s Open because she knew a two-stroke lead would be all she needed heading to the final hole. A par at the last gave the 24-year-old her first major victory, and “a dream come true.”

Lucy Li will miss the cut at the U.S. Women’s Open after firing consecutive 78s, but the national championship has been a great learning experience for the 11-year-old prodigy. Li said, “You have to be patient. That’s what I learned…I did a good job of that this week and it really helped because I got triples and I came back with birdies. That’s what’s really important.”
