Just the obligatory nagging friendly reminder to SUBSCRIBE to the WUP pod — available just about anywhere you choose to digest your podcasts: iTunes, Google Play Music, Soundcloud, WUP Podcast Page, Libsyn Classic Feed, etc. Of course, you can always listen via the player below, as well. But I’m a big fan of subscribing to pods because they just pop up in your feed as soon as they’re released.

Questions? As always, please feel free to contact me about anything and I’m always open to suggestions and constructive criticism (that’s the only way we evolve!): stephanie@weiunderpar.com. I may not answer immediately, but I try my best– as you might be able to imagine, I can’t keep up with the hundreds of emails I receive every day, and actually, I wish I could hire an intern just to help me with writing and replying to damn EMAILS. In the meantime, I promise to address your emails on the pod at the next earliest convenience. Deal? Cool. Thanks for your continued support!

In short: Get-to-know Hally — she’s awesome, and a woman of many talents!

This episode is definitely a must-listen for lovers of links golf and for those thinking of planning their own trip to Ireland and/or Scotland.

By Stephanie Wei under British Open

The Open Championship is usually the toughest major to pick the correct winner or top finishers, but it’s more or less easier when it’s played at the Old Course. It’s no secret that the Old Course at St Andrews favors bombers — just look at the most recent past champions: Louis Oosthuizen, Tiger Woods and John Daly.

Park eyeing history at St. Andrews

In her quest to become the first golfer to win four majors in the same calendar year, Inbee Park opened with a 69 in the first round of the Women’s British Open. Although the 25-year-old South Korean had a disappointing finish with a bogey on the 16th and then a double-bogey on the 17th at the Old Course, she only trails co-leaders Morgan Pressel and Camilla Lennarth.
