Looks almost like his backhand!

Can you imagine if tennis great Rafael Nadal had been forced to quit the sport due to an injury and picked up golf? It would’ve been a shame, but I mean, that would’ve been pretty cool for golf…(if he could have cut it. See: Rice, Jerry; Smoltz, John.)

In his autobiography “Rafa” — to be released in the States on Tuesday — Nadal admits that in 2005 doctors discovered a rare foot injury that had the chance of sidelining him from the courts, sparking thoughts of a future in professional golf.

Bling!

Bubba Watson often says, “I’m still Bubba from Bagdad, Florida” — of course he is. Now, he’s also Bubba from Bagdad who can sport watches worth $525,000. No big deal! On Saturday Bubba broke out his new wrist wear and showed it off to Martin Kaymer on the practice green before their match at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Rory McIlroy blasting a drive at the PGA Championship

Last month 21-year-old Ulsterman Rory McIlroy sparked some uproar when he made some bold (yet honest!) comments, saying, “I’m sure we’ll probably see him [Tiger Woods] in Wales…I would love to face him. Unless his game rapidly improves…I think anyone in the European team would fancy their chances against him.”
