Jason Day beat Louis Oosthuizen 5&4 in the WGC-Dell Match Play Championship final to win the title for the second time in three years. This was after Day outlasted Rory McIlroy in a tough battle in the morning semifinals by making a 12-footer for par on the 18th hole.

Day also reclaimed the throne as world no. 1 on Saturday after Jordan Spieth lost in round 4 and Day won his quarterfinal match in the afternoon. Although it would have been sweet to ascend to no 1, Day would have felt a bit empty if he hadn’t left Austin with the trophy, as well.

Bjorn: the world is his oyster

Big Dane Thomas Bjorn managed to run out the winner on the final day of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters in Doha. His final round of 69 was enough for a fourteen-under total and a four-shot victory. Comfortable though the final margin might have been, the scorecard only tells half the story.
