Ko in for swing over-tow?

On Monday 16-year-old phenom Lydia Ko announced she had sacked her swing coach, Guy Wilson, of 11 years because she said he couldn’t spend enough time with her while she plays as a touring professional.

Ko, the youngest winner in LPGA Tour history, was coached by Wilson since she was five. Naturally, he said he was “incredibly disappointed” by the decision, which came two weeks after she signed with management giant IMG.

She’s ready!

Well, we all knew it was happening at some point before mid-November.

16-year-old golfing phenom Lydia Ko announced to the world via a New Zealand Golf YouTube promo that she’s ready for the bigs — and she’s officially given up her amateur status and now she’s competing as a professional. Ko made the announcement in a sponsored video alongside All Blacks rugby player Israel Dagg and he even helped her reach her “monumental decision,” according to her Twitter:
