As I promised in Part 1, I’d share my personal experiences with testing the new Nike products on the uncharacteristically cold and breezy day at TPC Summerlin in Vegas.

I was one of the few crazy people who decided to play a few holes in the tough conditions because I wanted to provide the best review possible for you, the readers (it’s all about *you guys*, after all!), which I’m paying for now with a fever and cold. No big deal, though! — it’s part of the job!

Tiger doing his best Phil impression

Tiger doing his best Phil impression

Considering he’s not playing in a tournament this week, Tiger Woods sure has made a ton of headlines already. Between hanging out with his kids and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn and hosting charity events, Woods even squeezed in a press conference for his tournament, the AT&T National, on Monday morning at Congressional.

Let’s start with the stuff you care about most — Tiger vs. Sergio saga. In the latest episode of The Real Housewives of the PGA Tour, Tiger was asked if he had reached out to Sergio to mend things instead of relaying comments through the press. The answer was straightforward and simple: “No.”

How to tell Tiger is single: no woman would let him leave the room in that shirt

The now-divorced Tiger Woods was in Las Vegas on Monday for Tiger Jam, his annual charity concert that benefits his foundation. The fourteen time major champ was spotted hanging out in a cabana at the Liquid Pool at Aria Resort and Casino on Saturday, according to “Page Six” in the New York Post. Stop the presses!

Ian Poulter tosses a marker

I’ve drawn up one conclusion after looking over this year’s WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship bracket: Picking this year’s winner seems about as rare as rocking horse crap. The 64-player bracket mimics the NCAA Tournament, but is MUCH more difficult to predict. While seeds play a vital role in March, they are completely meaningless in this case.

Justin Timberlake presents Jonathan Byrd with the trophy after Byrd aced the fourth playoff hole for the win

Everybody’s heard about the Byrd. After all, he’s the word.

If you were one of the three people that chose to watch the Fall Series event over football — I was driving back from Philly, but a friend gave me the riveting play-by-play over the phone — then apparently you chose wisely. With darkness closing in on the three-way playoff between Jonathan Byrd, Martin Laird and Cameron Percy at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Sin City, the cameras focused in while the three players discussed whether or not to continue to the fourth extra hole — or wait until Monday morning.

Amidst all the rumors of Anthony Kim’s withdrawal from the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open following reports of late-night boozing and gambling on the Vegas strip, we hadn’t heard from AK himself…until now. In an interview with Sports Illustrated‘s Alan Shipnuck, Kim said the details of his partying have been “way, way exaggerated.” And more important, he stressed it was his still-injured, over-practiced thumb that led him to pull out of JT’s event, and not a two-day hangover.

Sometimes I wish there were more Anthony Kims in golf.

But of course, I’m in the minority. You know, it’s not that I condone obnoxious behavior by young, wealthy and successful professional golfers — it’s just that at least he’s showing some personality and acting like your average 25-year-old and I can’t really berate someone having fun, but the problem is when it’s become (arguably) self-destructive.
