Valhalla Golf Club is a very special place to Kenny Perry. At Valhalla, Perry experienced the lows of losing in a playoff to Mark Brooks for the 1996 PGA Championship, and he experienced the highs of hugging his Dad after helping the U.S. win the 2008 Ryder Cup.
Kenny Perry won ten times on the PGA TOUR between 2003-2009, and has a total of 14 TOUR wins. At the 1996 PGA Championship at Valhalla, Perry lost in a playoff to Mark Brooks, and described the loss as a “heartache.” He is currently playing on the Champions Tour where he has seven career wins, including three majors.
Kenny Perry has been dominating on the Champions Tour, and his victory at the 2013 U.S. Senior Open qualified him for this week’s U.S. Open. Perry showed he can still play with the best by making the cut, and he also got a couple back with a hole out for eagle on 14.
