Okay, it’s been a hectic couple of days and insomnia appears to continue to become a serious issue. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I just wanted to post my picks before first-round play got too far underway.

I am going to quickly go through the main things and i”ll expand on them if needed after I get some sleep, and can see and think straight — or at least better, which I hear helps when writing and making sense are the goal.

Kevin Na’s longtime caddie Kenny Harms is one of the lead complainants in the suit

More than 80 professional golf caddies have filed a class-action federal lawsuit in Northern California against the PGA Tour, seeking compensation for being forced to wear bibs emblazoned with sponsored logos. The caddies allege that the Tour is earning $50 million a year from the sponsors while they receive nothing in return for serving as “human billboards.”

Na: What's with the pornstache, Johnson??

 

Through the first 26 holes at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, Kevin Na was plodding along — not striking the ball that well or that bad, but making 10-15 footers for par (on the comeback because it’s easy to misjudge the very, very grainy and difficult greens). Then he rolled in a 15-footer on No. 9 that turned around the momentum and went on to fire 29 on the back nine (nine-under in last 10 holes), highlighted with an incredible eagle-eagle finish.
