No, I’m not kidding. So you’re probably wondering why the hell does Luke Donald have $80,000 worth of beef. Well, that’s easy! — last November, Luke Donald won the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Miyazaki, Japan, where they breed cattle that live more luxuriously than you or I, so the winner receives a nice check and one of these delicious-tasting cows, according to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell.

Tween troubles

Ryo Ishikawa arrived late for the Presidents Cup in Australia due to inclement weather and flight delays, giving him only one practice round to prepare for the biennial matches. International team captain Greg Norman didn’t anticipate Ryo having any problems by Thursday, saying “There’s absolutely no problem with Ryo himself.” But the 20-year-old Ishikawa might have distractions stemming from his personal life — the Japanese golfing superstar had planned to unveil his secret girlfriend to the world by bringing her to Melbourne, but it was nixed in light of rumors that she’s pregnant, according to Andrew Both’s report.

Wayne Perske was convicted in Japan

Hey pro golfers, don’t do drugs, but especially don’t do them and get caught in Japan, where the anti-drug laws are beyond strict. Just possession of a banned drug, with no intent to distribute, can land the convicted seven years in jail!

Wayne Perske, who is originally from Brisbane, Australia, has received a suspended sentence for possessing and using cocaine. The Japanese court said the 36-year-old golfer received a year and six months in prison, suspended for three years.
