Na, Na, Na, Na

For the second week in a row on the PGA Tour, Kevin Na was (unfairly) targeted and harassed by fans for his reputation of being a slow player.

During the second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, spectators heckled Na, who teed off no. 10 on Friday, throughout the back nine at Bay Hill. Na was visibly frustrated and reacted to the taunting. Things finally hit a breaking point, and in the middle of the first fairway, he flagged down rules official Mark Russell.

Sergio Garcia was preparing to tee off the 11th, his first hole in the third round of the U.S. Open, when a spectator hollered, “fried chicken” as he was about to hit. <cringe> As expected, Sergio has received grief from vociferous Philly fans at Merion this week, and when security asked if he wanted the hecklers tossed out, he’s declined

But that might be the least of Garcia’s troubles.

The conditions at Royal Melbourne on Friday in the second session of the Presidents Cup were rather tough, to say the least. So the last thing any player — whether the Internationals or the Americans — wants is an unruly fan who probably had a few too many Fosters (yes, I realize Aussies don’t actually drink Fosters). Unfortunately, Hunter Mahan feel victim to a heckler that yelled in his backswing on his approach to the 16th green.

Tiger-heckling in Melbourne: It's not condoned, but it's not banned

Contrary to a rumor report from Australia’s Herald Sunthe same outlet that claimed Tiger Woods was planning a “shocking” return at the WGC Accenture Match Play back in February — fans who heckle Tiger won’t be given one warning before getting booted from Victoria Golf Club, the site of this week’s Australian Masters.
