Jordan Spieth and Zach Johnson both threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs games, respectively, on Tuesday evening.

The pair of major champions spent most of the day trash-talking via Twitter before deciding on a bet of $5,000 to the golfer who had the better outcome. ESPN was given the honor of determining the winner.

Rory prepares for the Big Throw

Rory McIlroy has been working on his form in more than one sport. He’s not just been grinding on the driving range and prepping for the U.S. Open at Olympic, he’s mixed in a little throwing practice this week. The 23-year-old from Northern Ireland attended his first baseball game on Tuesday evening. He also threw the ceremonial first pitch at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.

Keegan Bradley is having a heck of a year — the PGA Tour rookie snagged his maiden victory in May at the Byron Nelson Championship, and then last month he captured the PGA Championship, overcoming a five-shot lead with three holes to play and eventually winning in a playoff and snapping the American drought at the last six majors.

Bradley: yes, I didn't shank it!

PGA Tour rookie Keegan Bradley, who captured the PGA Championship earlier this month at Atlanta Athletic Club, is having a fairytale kind of month that usually only happens in movies. The native of Woodstock, Vermont, who spent his senior year in high school in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, is a huge Red Sox fan and threw out the first pitch of Tuesday’s opener of the three-game series against the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.
