Paul Casey not only won for the first time in over two years, but he did it in style, holing a fifty-footer for eagle on the 72nd hole to capture the Irish Open by three shots over Robert Rock and Joost Luiten.
Casey, who started the final round four shots out of the lead, fire a final-round five-under 67 that included a stretch of five birdies in six holes between no. 8 and no. 13. He wavered for a moment coming down the stretch, giving two back on nos. 15 and 16.
