Buoyed by my complimentary words last week*, Spencer Levin is charging away from the pack during the second round of the Legitimate Businessmen Phoenix Open.
At 11-under-par for the tournament, he’s currently four shots clear of Bubba Watson, the terminally untroubled Jason Dufner and Bo Van Pelt.
Let’s hope, for the sake of young Levin’s self-esteem, that the fragile truce between the warring elements of his subconscious holds up until the close of play.

How about a little scorn directed in the direction of Vijay (and the others, but I like directing scorn at VJ) for WD’ing instead of coming back on Saturday AM to finish out a certain MC round ? Way to be professional VJ – hey, you should have played, it might be your only Saturday on a PGA Tour Course this year.
JGW – Levin seems to have a similar background to about 100 other pros.
Brians – I’ve always thought Vijay was sort of a prick but cut him some slack he’s the oldest guy out there.
