Getting back in touch with junior golf friends that will talk to you as a person and not a journalist, trusting that you will edit them instead of them edit themselves (think Tiger) are always excellent reads. It has a much better flow, if Tiger is Tofu then Andres is Wasabi. Even after a disappointing round they will talk with you and let it hang out, we can all relate to a bad round of golf, and knowing that pros react the same way we do creates a real bond among golfers, beyond languages and borders. Keep that up and you will have a happy readership.

Is Ted Brown who shot 1 under the first day from Virginia? If it is I would love to hear about him and what his path has been on the journey of professional golf. Great post btw! I really enjoy getting hear about you and the players just being people and not always having to read stats… Good luck out there and if a could offer a tip as a past caddie, carrying at least two towels and count your players clubs! There are few things worse than spit shining equipment in a tournament or the moment you see the dreaded #15.

The Piercy quotes are the best, hands down. Great work, keep the updates coming for the week. Maybe do a follow up with Piercy after a few rounds and see what he has to say, haha.

For the record – Timo Boll is a German Table Tennis player…he’s also really friggin’ good – and probably made more cash in 2010 than Scott

Besides that, Q-School is absolutely the coolest week in golf after the majors.
