I’ve kicked off the live-blog of round two at the PGA Championship over at WSJ.com. Please come by and join me for another 12-hour marathon day. I’m heading out to catch Rory McIlroy as he starts the nightmare final four holes on the back nine. I’ll be sending my thoughts and observations live from Atlanta Athletic Club.
A bunch of players will be searching for their game to see weekend play — kind of like Ryuji Imada searching for his ball here on the fifth hole this morning:
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods doesn’t tee off until 1:45pm — he has some work to do if he’s going to make the cut after his interesting seven-over 77 on Thursday. What’s the over/under he’ll go low today?
First-round leader Steve Stricker starts at 2:45pm.
Here’s to another hot day in the sauna!

Enough of this Rory garbage. Let’s get back to interesting stories such as Tiger being a jerk and no longer having a golf career. Also caddygate is a good story. A 22 year punk hitting a root is not interesting reading.
Tiger shoots, lets see, 71 today. 3 birdies, 4 bogeys.
caddygate is a good story..
c’mon man
Caddygate is old news. Lets chat about Micheel shooting 90 today.
My guess for Tiger is a 38 on the front nine then an injury of some sort or something in his eye before he finishes his round. A DQ/DNF is always better than a missed cut. Especially when you’re an egotistical jerk like Tiger.
Well said Jups. I agree. WD is in the cards today.
If Tiger can’t see the good Dr. Galea to get his edge back then maybe he should call Dr. HOUSE. He can fix anything.
Who the heck is Dr. HOUSE????????
I think if Tiger level par or a bit more today the mate will be playing on the weekend. Good day all.
Not sure what golf tournament you are watching Pinto bt even par ain’t gonna cut it mate. He’s gonna have to be a go low specialist to make the cut. Good day to ya mate.
Tiger would be lucky if the cut slides to +5, the absolute worst he can do is 68 to play the weekend. 67 would definitely get him in.
@Mark L easy on our friend @Pinto. He’s just stating his opinion about the tournament. At the pace we are seeing the cut line may move up to +7 or +8, we will just have to ait and see.
Hey Ray Ramano. Get lost from this forum. +7 or +8?? C’mon. If you think the cut is gonna slide to those numbers then you sir do not know golf. Why don’t you take that simpleton brain of yours and get me a diet coke.
I can’t see Tiger lasting much longer with Foley. No way he puts in two more years with this swing and these results.
Woods should have never left Hank Haney. Although, he may want to be the next contestant on The Haney Project…
Have you ever seen a golfer act like he has something in his eyes more during a round then Tiger has today. Please note that i predicted that he’d pull that stunt 2 hours before his round started. His act is an old one. We all have him figured out.
The game has truly passed him by. Will he get it back? i don’t think so but then again Dr Galea did avoid prison time so there may still be some hope for Tiger.
No Jupiter, you predicted that Tiger would petulantly withdraw instead of completing his round today. You only get credit if that happens.
Max good point. you tend to be the voice of reason around here and i do appreciate it. Can we at least agree that Tiger acts like he gets something in his eyes more than any other golfer on tour?
Do you know what he shot on the front 9 by chance?
Tiger is stingerless today. What’s up with that?
