Levet: For the win!
French golfer Thomas Levet won his country’s national championship on Sunday. He celebrated by jumping in the pond at Le Golf National. He also broke a bone in his shin, putting the chances of playing in next week’s British Open in question.
Since fans are allowed to shoot video at European Tour events (as we’re all now well aware, thanks to Bubba), here’s the footage below. You can see Levet had trouble getting out of the water. Now we know why.
According to a statement released by IMG, Levet’s leg is in a cast, but he won’t rule out withdrawing from the British Open until he has “received intensive treatment and has consulted with a specialist” later this week.
“He will, of course, be doing everything he can to tee up at the Open Championship next week,” IMG said.
Broken leg — no big deal!
I hope the alternate that would replace Levet has his bags packed.

At this point in the celebration, Thomas had been pretty well lubricated and was feeling no pain. I hope he is going to heal up quickly so he can make The Open Championship.

If Tiger can win the US Open with a broken leg why wouldn’t Thomas Levet be able to compete in the British Open??? Oh that’s right, Tiger was on roids. I forgot.

Apparently there are idiots who believe that there are steroids in everything since they lack any real talent of their own like longball. Everyone knows steroids makes all the difference on those 60 ft. putts. Moron! Let me guess Tiger bagged your wife and you are bitter…
