If you watch one thing this weekend, then it has to be the above interview from Trans World Sport in 1990 with a 14-year-old Tiger Woods. I mean, wow, it’s mind-blowing.
Tiger is incredibly insightful and intelligent, not to mention candid. And of course, there’s this wonderful sense of youth and innocence.
I recommend watching the entire interview and wait until the end — for his comments on race and the Augusta National.

With one win almost two weeks ago, Tiger Woods has been declared back. Ready to go. Ready to win his fifth Green Jacket. Ready to resume his chase for 18.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The pairings for The Masters are out.
Tiger Woods will be teeing off at 10:35 Thursday, with Miguel Angel Jimenez and Korea’s Sang-Moon Bae. Phil Mickelson will be in the afternoon wave, playing in the final group of the day at 1:53 p.m. Lefty has been paired with Hunter Mahan and Peter Hanson of Sweden.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — In the blinding mid-afternoon sun, Adam Scott was busy finding himself answering more of the same questions. He had just finished doing his weekly session with the media, when he was intercepted coming out of the back door by a familiar friend in the Australian media. The request was for a little bit of alone time for the usual inquiries: What happened in the final round of The Masters last year and how is he going to correct it this year.

Oh no, Ernie, you did it again. The Sunday before last, I watched him play those final three holes at Innisbrook’s Copperhead course, and let’s just say, it went from joyful to hopeful to heartbreaking real fast.
The South African golfer headed into the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a shot at redemption and securing an invitation to next week’s Masters. He entered the day tied for third and the OWGR number-crunchers estimated a solo second would do the trick and bump Els from No. 62 to the top 50 in the world rankings, which would earn him a spot in the field. I’m sure it comes to a major surprise by all that Tiger Woods isn’t happy former instructor Hank Haney wrote a “tell-all” about their six years of working together, which is set to hit bookshelves the week before the Masters (ouch). The shot where Tiger hurt himself at the Masters
Tiger Woods announced on Tuesday that he incurred an injury during the third round of the Masters, forcing him to skip next week’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.
