Tiger Woods’ former caddie Stevie Williams chimed in on Tiger’s improper drop controversy in the second round of the Masters, which resulted in a two-shot penalty. New Zealand’s 3News caught up with Williams, who is now Adam Scott’s looper, after he landed from the long journey back from Augusta.

The last twosome — Graeme McDowell and Adam Scott — has just teed off, but the atmosphere has been buzzing with anticipation here at Royal Lytham &St Annes since early this morning. It’s already been a hectic day with the usual excited nervous energy that comes along with the final round at a major championship. What’s more, look at the names on the leaderboard. We’ve got Adam Scott (and Stevie Williams), Graeme McDowell, Brandt Snedeker, Tiger Woods, Zach Johnson and Ernie Els in the final three groups.
As we’ve seen with all the dramatic finishes this season, NO LEAD IS SAFE.
The most-anticipated first-tee handshake in Presidents Cup history
As the sixth and final match of the day, Tiger Woods-Steve Stricker vs. Adam Scott-K.J. Choi, was about to commence, Tiger made the customary rounds, shaking hands with his competitors, their caddies, scorers, marshals, etc. — of course, that included Scott’s caddie and Tiger’s former caddie Steve Williams.

For some reason, I don't think that's going to be the scene on the first tee Thursday
As you may have heard, Greg Norman didn’t waste any time getting the most-talked-about-grudge-match of the decade out of the way. The International team captain claims pitting Steve Williams (Adam Scott) and Tiger Woods against each other in the opening session of the Presidents Cup wasn’t intentional, but then both captains said they wanted to get the touching reunion out of the way. Which is smart from a PR-y standpoint — they got in front of the story, quashing the built-up drama early, so it’d be over and done.

Tiger in good spirits in the Down Under
Tiger Woods appeared in his pre-tourney media conference Tuesday morning for the Australian Open, and as expected, he was pummeled with questions regarding a comment that his former longtime caddie Stevie Williams made last Friday in front of a crowd at the caddie awards. When Stevie went on stage to accept winning “Best Celebration” for his post-victory speech at Bridgestone, he said, “It was my aim to shove it right up that black arsehole.”
