WUP-date: Saturday wrap at Bay Hill

Just about everyone is watching basketball, so it shouldn’t really matter, but I did a rambly wrap-up of the third round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. As you know, Tiger Woods leads by two over Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose and John Huh.

Woods is going for his eighth victory at Bay Hill. Should he win, he will dethrone Rory McIlroy from the world No. 1 ranking.  (continue reading…)

Huh? What a rally!

The Question Mark making a run

What’s perhaps the most compelling story to come out of the Valero Texas snooze-fest Open has gone widely unnoticed, but thanks to Shoshana for bringing it to my attention. John Huh, the Q-school grad who captured the Mayakoba Golf Classic, shot a dreadful eight-over 44 in his opening nine holes on Thursday, but 45 holes later, he’s in contention. (continue reading…)

Oh, the Huh-Sanity!

Johnny Question Mark

Congrats to Q-school grad John Huh on capturing his first PGA Tour victory in his fifth career start at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. What a Huhnderella story! (*groan*) — be sure to check out Jill Painter’s article on John’s inspiring journey to the Tour.

Hi! My name is Stephanie Wei. I grew up in Seattle. I live in Manhattan, NYC. I played competitive golf for ten years in the junior and college ranks. I went to Yale, where I played on the women's golf team and graduated in '05 with a B.A. in History.

I still enjoy pegging it, but don't ask me my handicap because I stopped keeping one when I left for college. More important, I'm feisty and I like to smile a lot. I also love sports, spandex and surprises.
