Australian golf commentator Luke Elvy — who is here at Oak Hill this week! — and I got together to talk Tiger Woods, the course set-up, our favorite picks for the PGA Championship.

We usually take questions from Twitter users, and while a few of you did submit some, we were already off-air. It’s my fault for the late notice and I haven’t been doing the #WUPHangouts as regularly as usual, which is changing THIS WEEK. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with a programming schedule, so you’ll know when to tune in.

So, please, submit questions — via e-mail or Twitter — and we’ll do our best to answer them! Thanks!

Thanks to Ricky Potts for inviting me as the featured guest in his “Friday Foursome” Google+ Hangout, along with the members of the community who joined to ask questions. Obviously this happened yesterday, so we inevitably talked about Rory McIlroy’s unceremonious exit and mental dental issue, but we also talked LPGA and how I got started with living this crazy traveling circus life on the Tour.

Australia’s voice and face of golf Luke Elvy has been asking me to take him through Google+ Hangouts ever since I’ve started doing them, but we kept missing each other because of the 16-hour time difference. Well, we finally connected on Thursday evening and decided to do a test run, which is basically in podcast-like form (the new podcast?). We talk all things golf, including the Day 1 redux of the WGC-Accenture Match Play. Duh.

I’m still relatively new to Google+ Hangouts, but so far, I am obviously having lots of fun with them. It’s been a great way to interact with Twitter followers and readers.

You can also leave questions in the comments section of the YouTube link I tweet or send out. I’ll have to find a more efficient way to get the word out. It’s tough for me to set a time every day since it’s always fluctuating when I’m on-site (which has been every week so far).

Don’t know what a Hangout is? Here’s a helpful link that explains everything you need/want to know!

Feedback and constructive criticism are appreciated and welcomed. WUP is working with Google on making the Hangouts as user-friendly as possible.

Tiger holes out from the bunker for an eagle on no. 6

Tiger holes out from the bunker for an eagle on no. 6

On a calm and mostly cloudy day with delectable conditions, nineteen players shot five-under or better, with K.J. Choi and defending champion Brandt Snedeker firing a pair of seven-under 65s to take a share of the first round lead at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Not a knock to Brandt at all, but K.J.’s was probably more impressive since he played the South Course, the harder of the two tracks.
