Well, I’m not sure what there is to add. I’m still a little bewildered that Jim Furyk lost the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but obviously not as much as he is. When Keegan Bradley stood on the 18th tee on Sunday, he was hoping to make birdie and force a playoff at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. As it happened, he dropped in a clutch 15-footer to save par, putting the pressure on Jim Furyk, who was trying to close out a wire-to-wire victory. The tale of two 66s...
Tiger Woods was quick to compliment playing partner Matt Kuchar following Sunday’s final round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Both Woods and Kuchar posted scores of four-under 66 at Firestone CC, but they looked very different if you were watching (and from a stats perspective).
“Playing with Kuch today was a joke,” said Woods, who moved up the leaderboard to T8, clinching back-to-back top tens for the first time since 2009. “Twenty putts on the day is not too bad, three chip-ins. It was amazing. I never saw the guy all day, and we had the same score.” (continue reading…)

At the driving range on Wednesday at Firestone CC, Branden Grace looked almost giddy as he wrapped up his last practice session before teeing it up for the first time the following afternoon with his childhood hero Tiger Woods.
I asked his player-manager how much Grace was looking forward to the pairing.

Furyk eyeing...a WGC win
After opening with a sizzling seven-under 63 in the first round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Jim Furyk followed it with another solid performance, posting a four-under 66 on Friday morning.
It’s gotta be the Five-Hour Energy…right?
G*dd*mn wedge game is killing me
New day. Fresh greens. Same golf course. And similar results for Tiger Woods in the second round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Friday was almost like déjà vu for Woods, who has won 7 times at Firestone CC — he hit the ball well, but his wedge game stunk and he couldn’t buy a putt, leaving him 13 shots out of the lead.
The scorecard tallied up to a two-over 72, following his even-par 70 in the first round. Woods didn’t hit as many fairways and greens as he did on Thursday, but that wasn’t necessarily what cost him two extra strokes. It was the same thing we’ve seen and the same story we’ve heard for the past few months after posting a crappy — or less than satisfactory — score. (continue reading…)

The bond between a player and caddie is complex, to say the least. It’s like a marriage. The best way to describe it is the relationship you have with your husband or wife (girlfriend or boyfriend, etc.). Even if you’ve known each other for a decade and you’ve been dating for over a year, new challenges arise that test the relationship.
