Tiger & Elin come together for the kids

After Tiger Woods was knocked out in round one of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, he flew home to Florida and spent some time with his kids, Sam and Charlie. Woods hasn’t been photographed with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren since, like, eternity — well, at least not since pre-scandal in Thanksgiving of 2009. Until now.

Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, reportedly snatched up a $12.2 million mansion in North Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach Post. Somehow the size of Elin’s beach-front digs trumps Tiger’s new home in Jupiter that’s larger than Planet Jupiter. Can you buh-lieve it? Neither can I.

It’s been two days since the Tiger Woods-Elin Nordegren divorce was finalized and both have spoken to the media. The tight-lipped Elin gushed to People about her side of the story, which hits stands on Friday. And on Wednesday afternoon when Tiger finished playing in the pro-am at Ridgewood, the site of The Barclays, he chatted with the media. As he walked off the green and to the interview area, he stopped for about five minutes to sign autographs for fans.

Whoa. Elin Nordegren is no longer silent. Since her ex-husband’s car accident last November, Elin hasn’t spoken to the press, but she shrewdly gave her first interview to People magazine with the headline, “My Own Story.” In 19 hours over four visits to her rental home in Windermere, FL, she reveals to People the “emotional roller coaster she’s been on, her life as a mother to Sam, 3, and Charlie, 19 months, and her hopes for the future.”

We all knew it was coming, and seriously, thank God that Elin Nordegren (who wants her maiden name back) decided to divorce his cheating butt.

We all knew it was coming. Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren confirmed on Monday that their marriage is over. The two appeared in front of a judge at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, FL. The terms of the divorce weren’t disclosed, except that Tiger and Elin will share parenting of their two children, Sam and Charlie.

Here’s the statement issued on TigerWoods.com:

We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us. Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.

In other words, it’s none of our business.

Just a few months ago, Charles Barkley wanted everyone to get off Tiger’s back. Even though Barkley was frustrated he hadn’t received a call from Tiger in the first few months after the scandal broke, he was there for his boy. He also denied any knowledge of Tiger’s extracurricular activities (cough…BS…cough). According to NBC Sports, Life & Style Weekly chatted with Barkley at the opening of Casino Club at The Greenbier, and it appears his opinion on the matter has shifted.
