If you thought Tiger Woods had a sweet practice facility at his home, then wait ’til you check out Rory McIlroy’s! Thanks to Conor for passing along the link to this clip while we Americans were busy reveling in barbeques and fireworks.
Anyone catch the full documentary on BBC last night?

BBC Documentary was fantastic. They did something quite similiar with GMac last year but I though this year’s was better. This was a fly-on-th-wall type of program which followed Rors from Jan 2011 through to June 2011 with some amazing personal insights -Holly , Family ,even his 2 pets!
Rory came accross as a very level headed young man -a far cry from when I first encountered him 2 years ago.
He has a stubance to him -nothing flashy. Yes he enjoys some of the finer things that life has to offer but he comes accross as realising that a work ethic is paramount to earn such delights.
A must see for all golf fans and a welcome counter balance to the soul-less , self-centred actions of a certain Gary Watson (aka Bubba) last week.
This guy is good!
You can watch it here, but you need a proxy or some other method of getting through the location check:

@SW- seriously, did you really think that MCllroy would have put in an american style parkland practice facility in his backyard located in links country of Northern Ireland.
No I didn’t watching the program but wish I did. Great to see Rory takes his golf just that little bit more seriously than the rest of the pro’s.
With those deep bunkers at Royal St Georges hopefully the practice will pay off.
