Mid-life crisis pants
If Phil’s burnt orange trousers from yesterday’s practice round exposed some transatlantic differences in taste, a split at the seams on the subject of terrible trousers, between Irish blogger and American readership, surely these bad boys sported by Davis Love III during his tidy first round will bring us back onto the same page. There’s no debate to be had here, right?

The worst part about the pink pants was that he paired them with one of his generic blue-white Polo shirts that he normally wears every day with khakis. It’s like he could only go so far in getting wild: lower-half wild, upper-half conservative country club status quo.
Horrendous.
PS: Phil’s pants are an unprecedented color as well, and don’t even get me started on Bubba’s.
I love the pants themselves, but they don’t jibe with the shirt/hat whatsoever. So I’ll disagree with you again, but with the caveat that the ensemble, taken together, blows chunks.
I thought this looked kinda cute. He’s always the prepster.
Great pants. Wrong shirt. Stripes like that jumped the shark along with anything Ashworth or Foot Joy. Its all Adiddas, Puma, Under Armour and maybe still Nike…….

This outfit is just fine. Those who critic the navy / white / pale pink combination don’t get what the real chic is: a preppy, don’t-try-too-hard look.
However I’m still in shock with DLIII’s decision to go with a bloody tire-maker and Adidas shoes for the wrongest of all wrong reasons: money. He is the quintessential Titleist-FJ player.
