Oh, Rose

2013 U.S. Open champ Justin Rose honored his commitment to play in the Travelers Championship last week, but he announced on Monday he was skipping the AT&T National, citing fatigue.

“I’m disappointed to withdraw from the AT&T National, but the last three weeks have been extremely demanding both mentally and physically,” Rose said in a statement. “This tournament has been very good to me – especially in 2010 – and I would play if I felt I could. Tiger and his Foundation run a great tournament, and I wish I could be there.”

Tiger Woods plays host to this event that benefits his foundation, but he pulled out last week to rest an elbow injury.

No worries, though, the golf media is descending upon The Hamptons in Long Island to cover the U.S. Women’s Open.
