As the Tennessee PGA Section champion, Kip Henley, who normally loops for Brian Gay, received a spot in the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Thanks to Intern Kevin, Kip’s #1 fan, for spotting Richard S. Johnson’s tweet of the note Kip posted in the locker room.
Kip posted 82-78 and finished DFL. Henley is obviously a great golfer, but there’s a difference between the PGA Section and the big leagues. He shouldn’t be embarrassed (he keeps calling himself a bad golfer on Twitter) — he gave it his best and didn’t quit. It’s not like he’s out there practicing every day. He’s got a full-time job — caddying for Brian Gay, or as Kip describes on his Twitter account: “My job is to wash a guys balls and carry stuff.”
It’s all good, Kipper. You’re a legend in our eyes!
Oh, and have I mentioned his daughter Stormi Henley is a former Ms. Teen USA and American Idol contestant (I think she made it pretty far, too, earlier this year)? She caddied for her daddy in Memphis.

His job is to wash Brian Gay’s balls… nuff said
good story. Despite his finish, we all know Kip is a helluva of golfer
Just like Haney has been saying via twitter again and again – scratch golfers and PGA Tour players are as far apart as scratch and a 10 handicap. Hope he had fun.
I’ve said many times that I’d love to see a televised competition with the caddies playing against each other.
I just hope more former athletes keep trying to play the Nationwide Tour since their chances of competing are realistic.
The real question is… Kip, is that really your daughter? there is no way in hell Stormi is yours.

This can be such a nice resource that you’re providing and you offer it away for free. I really like seeing websites that perceive the worth of providing a top quality resource for free. It’s the old what goes around comes around routine.
