Secondly the rules of golf say if there is doubt that one caused the ball to move, they must show they didn’t cause it, but this is completely different-this is doubt about it moving at all. Is this a new standard set by Mark Russell, that from now on a player must prove that any ball that MIGHT have moved didn’t? Lots of time a ball MIGHT have moved, how can one say for sure if they aren’t looking at the ball 100 percent of the time.

Russell has made a number of questionable rulings, the Tiger Woods lost ball incident most recently. No one knows who moved his ball, no one could say if it was a man or woman, what were they wearing, where did they go..nothing. It was just a complete guess, and yet he gives Tiger a very very favorable position drop.

And finally, what about replacing the ball if it moved, did Gay have to do that? Why not? If they are saying it must have moved, then it must be replaced right?
