Its such as you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the e-book in it or something. I believe that you just can do with some % to force the message house a little bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. An excellent read. I will definitely be back.

I thought it was a great result for golf this tournament. Fantastic to see Dufner get his rewards and his first victory. Good to see Ernie back in contention and playing well again.

Feel bad for Ernie. Should have probably won it after the drives on 18(except for the last one). Seems to be not quite there yet.
Cheers to Delaet though. Glad to see a prairie boy doing well. It is pretty sad state of Canuck golf on tour right now.

Bosses?

We've had this discussion a million times on here. I like and hope for the alternate perspective as well, but Stanford is right, we don't always get it. And sometimes when we do, it is, for example, quoting Oouisthuizen's press agent saying how great he is, or snide Phil Mickelson insults for no reason. But you know

Anywayz... Dufner! I'm a big fan. My Mom called me after the PGA last year and said he reminded her of me, we're both not expressive when we play, but you know inside he is. So glad he won finally and hope it kicks him up a level.

Also, tell me Els drinks better beer than Heineken please.

@Stanford - I hate to disagree with someone who references my favorite author but as @Marky Mark said, you might be missing the point. Intertwining personal stories with objective media coverage has entertainment value. Stephanie understands this and apparently so do her bosses.

I think this is right on point. I found and continue to read this blog because the perspective was fresh. I don't come here for recaps. I come here to get the perspective of someone who is happy to be inside the ropes and following golf for a living.

@Marky Mark -- Not sure if I'm supposed to be impressed by the allusion. Is it to The Tempest or to Huxley's novel? In this case, writing and blogging are one and the same. If by "writing" you mean "literature," then you've got a rather narrow sense of the practice.

All I'm saying is that Stephanie's writing here would really benefit from privileging her voice and her experience of tour events, not suppressing them in the name of journalistic objectivity. Notice how two interesting threads in this post are bracketed in parentheses? It seems to me that a blog like this one is defining a new kind of journalism, and its real value lies in defying the conventions and standards that make the other sites so dry and boring.
