Rory McIlroy rolled in a birdie on the 72nd hole of the HSBC Champions, which proved to be a valuable stroke. His tie for fourth in Shanghai boosted him past Lee Westwood in the world rankings from No. 3 to No. 2 this week.
I guess that’s what you call a power couple!

Wonder, how much time they`ll spent to synchronize schedules for next year..but would like to have those luxury problems..
Lovely couple though, all the Best !
There’s a lot of talk about Rory as the next #1, and him possibly getting there next year. And he clearly has the talent, but the thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the reason he’s #2 is that aside from Luke, nobody else who was at the top last year, had a good year this year.
Luke though has 4 worldwide wins this year, Rory has 3 for his career (2 in the last 2 years). Unless he starts winning more often, he’s probably going to have a hard time reaching or staying at #1.
I walked with Rory as a marshal for 2 rounds at HSBC and Carol was very nice. Based on Rory’s demeanor and play it’s pretty easy to say that he will make it to #1 at some point. It’s very easy to forget how young he is.
I guess she wears the pants in the relationship. Nothing wrong with that, shoot, I’ll wear anything she asks me to. I guess it is an upgrade from Holly.
