Hindsight being 20/20 I would have gone to school at UCLA, USC, or Pepperdine. Being an east coast kid I just didn’t know the amount a female talent those schools produce. It is astounding. I just didn’t know…

However I would still leave for a few million because at that point you can get multiple coeds plus few porn stars on the side. Talk about a can’t lose situation.

I wouldn’t be in a big hurry to to leave UCLA, or Pepperdine, or any of those SoCal schools. College is a nice phase in one’s life and only comes around once. (Well, OK, twice if you flunk out the first go-round.)

Get your money Patrick! Like MW said the window is small (not as small as other sports) but get it while you can. The endorsement money alone should cover any future academic endeavors.

How much character do you need to be on tour *cough-Tiger-cough*? Traveling the world will create more perspective then any class at UCLA.

I’ve never bought the finishing school argument for any high level collegiate athlete. The reality is, you can get a college degree anytime. If you have a chance to be a successful pro athlete, you should strike while the iron is hot.

unfortunately the changes in to the pga q school are going to change college golf for the worse.

I loved college, but the reality is that the education part of college will always be there for Cantlay. I do think that when a guy is good enough to go pro, their game can stagnate if they don’t challenge themselves and move on to the next level.

Also your beloved Rory didn’t go to college (nor Matteo, or many of the international players).
