This is pretty amazing and I couldn’t stop laughing, whereas I was a little horrified when the “Golf Boys” — Ben Crane, Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson — debuted with their hit single, “Oh Oh Oh,” before three of four missed the cut at the US Open. In Twitter-speak, #whoopsies, #karma? Or as Conor put best, “What is seen cannot be unseen.”
Anyway, a group of ladies on the European Tour, Sophie Giquel, Cassandra Kirkland, Sophie Sandolo and Jade Schaeffer, took the initiative to form “Golf Girls.”
I interpreted their rendition of “Ah Ah Ah” as a mockery/spoof of the Golf Boys, and actually found it rather clever. I wish I would have thought of doing something similar myself. I think Balionis and I could have had some fun with the concept!

Golf boys need to be stopped but this spoof might just spur them on.

Ok. So you and Balionis are on deck. Wondering if the LPGA might do something also. I don’t really know the Nationwide guys too much. I might have to see if a couple players I know on the LPGA Futures tour might consider it.
Then again- I’m wondering if Fred’s back could hold up doing one.
If these golfers just focused on golf instead of “tweeting” and other silly crap like this maybe, they would win a few more tournaments. Ben Cranes game has gone downhill since the workout video went big and I think the attention from “Golf Boys” cost all of these guys a shot at the US Open.
Sadly this reminds me of an old Spice Girls vid in a way.
Jade Schaeffer is hot! She might be dressed like Bubba but she’s really the equivalent of Rickie.
Sophie Sandolo, oh my! she should’ve done this topless like her other photo shoots.
Waaaaay better than the guys’ vid.
@James: Rory went to Haiti 10 days before the US Open, surely that wasn’t the best way to prepare. Maybe when he realizes that he must practice 24/7 to be a success he will start to do something with his career!
Rickie Fowler has as many wins post joining twitter and doing this video as he did beforehand. I don’t think tweeting too much is his problem.
@kr1
I don’t put Rory’s visit to Haiti in the same class as the golf boys. That trip, while not golf related, likely centered the young man and taught him something about himself and life. Doing a video with your friends that breaks the week of the US Open is a distraction that isn’t needed. Their performance that week speaks for itself.
Focus on the game is a must…. And do believe you can have fun and be serious. But, look at Rory who took time of from twitter during US Open to stay out of BS and other negative vibes… Result speaks for itself.
Then again, Poulter was at his peak on twitter and winning just a few weeks ago during the Match Play…
I still would like to see more videos coming out, its good for the sport!
if it’s identical to the first one, how is it a spoof? seems more like plagiarism to me.
This sounds like Falco trying to sing “Golf Boys…”
