Wow… I didn’t think it could be done — an announcer calling golf in a way that gives thrilling moments the justice it deserves!

The WGC-Mexico Championship invited some of the country’s most famous broadcasters to join the team for guest commentary stints throughout the week. Lucky for fans watching the event’s national telecast, football commentator Antonio Rosique was in the booth when Justin Thomas stepped up to the tee on the par-3 13th during Saturday’s third round. You know, the hole JT where notched his 20th career ace.

And boy, Rosique didn’t disappoint with his reaction and went full football, shouting “Hoooooooooollllllllle… in one!” He didn’t stop there! Rosique continued to describe the special moment with the utmost passion, energy and animation.

If you’re an avid, longtime golfer without an ace on your resume, then Justin Thomas is the kind of player you really, really wish you could hate, but you simply because you have way too much admiration and respect for anyone who has so many hole-in-ones that he’s lost count. Thomas aced the par-3 13th with a “comfortable” 6-iron from 239 yards. He also posted a six-under 66 to take the 54-hole lead heading into the final round of a star-studded leaderboard at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Apparently the players at the BMW PGA Championship have been going flag-hunting at Wentworth and doing so successfully — as it’s been a week aplenty with holes-in-ones.

On Sunday in the final round, it was Chris Wood’s turn. Wood aced the 178 yard par-3 14th with a smooth 7-iron and won a BMW i8 (which he may or may not fit into).

It wasn’t even the first hole-in-one during the first round of the BMW PGA Championship, the European Tour’s flagship event — that honor went to Craig Lee, who aced the par-3 no. 2 at Wentworth’s West Course.

However, Andrew Johnston managed to match Lee, making the second hole-in-one on Thursday at the 184-yard par-3 10th, which also rewarded him with a BMW M4.

Age ain’t nothing but a number!

Earlier this week, PGA Professional Gus Andreone recorded his eighth hole-in-one on the 113-yard 14th hole at the Lakes Course at Palm Aire in Sarasota, Florida. As the news traveled across the interwebs, it soon became clear that Andreone, who is 103 years old, had achieved what was likely a record-breaking event, as the oldest person to make an ace.

Jordan Spieth jarred a 7-iron on the par-3, 173-yard, 12th hole at Muirfield Village, during a practice round for the Presidents Cup. Spieth collected high-fives from the other three guys in his group — Steve Stricker, who is the 20-year-old’s partner in this week’s team competition, Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar.

Here’s something you don’t see every day! – two holes-in-one in two consecutive groups. K.J. Choi, who was playing in the group right ahead of Greg Chalmers, aced the par-3 14th (arguably one of the best holes at Liberty National).

No big deal, though, says Chalmers, who then, a few minutes later, steps up and matches Choi’s effort.

Paul Casey made a hole-in-one on the par-3 15th at the Blue Monster in the final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship. Watch the video and you’ll see Casey barely reacts and nearly looks disappointed after the ball disappears. Meanwhile, his caddie Craig Connelly goes nuts and practically mauls his boss.
