Nice job by AT&T and Jordan Spieth for making this fun and cool opportunity happen. I especially love this because I’m a massive Spelling Bee nerd — ever since I was a little kid, but clearly didn’t have the abilities of the best in the country!

But I digress. After 13-year-old Jairam Hathwar was crowned co-champion of the National Spelling Bee Contest, Jordan heard that golf was Jairam’s favorite sport and that he was his favorite player.  So, he invited him out to The Barclays at Bethpage Black in Jairam’s home state of New York –- and to participate in a friendly putting/spelling competition.

Spoiler: Good thing Jordan is such a great putter!!!

Jordan Spieth

On Wednesday morning, SportsCenter’s Twitter account teased its new #ThisIsSportsCenter commercial starring Jordan Spieth, along with his caddie Michael Greller, asking for 1,000 retweets before it released the full ad. Well, that didn’t take very long — as of this evening, it’s been retweeted over 10,000 times.

Jordan Spieth has had quite a year and it’s kind of insane that he hasn’t really had a break yet in 2015.

He teed it up on Sunday for the 70th Grapefruit Pro-Am in front of approximately 1,500 autograph- and photo-seeking fans in Vero Beach.

Spieth let loose on the first tee by kicking off the event with a Happy Gilmore style swing — to which he received a huge round of applause.

ZJ-and-Spieth

Last month Sports Illustrated unveiled its 12 candidates for its eponymous Sportsman of the Year award (or 11 because, let’s be real, American Pharoah is a horse, not a person). As you’d expect, Jordan Spieth made the cut — thanks to his historic run at the Grand Slam, winning the first two majors of the year and the FedEx Cup, along with being named PGA Tour Player of the Year, among many other accolades and achievements in 2015.

Zach Johnson wrote an essay over at Golf.com, making a strong case that Spieth, one of the leading candidates, is most deserving of receiving SI’s coveted award.

Jordan Spieth got off to a fast start in the first round of the Hero World Challenge, the exclusive 18-man invitational hosted by Tiger Woods’ foundation, which is held at the uber-nice Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. Spieth hit a 6-iron from 175 yards — playing about 10 yards longer because it was into the wind — on the par-3 second and nearly slam-dunked the shot. Yep, he aced it (which leaves him with potentially a costly tab this evening).

Spieth Mosaic Overhead

Jordan Spieth obviously has had an incredible year — winning the first two majors of the season at the Masters and the U.S. Open, notching five victories on the PGA Tour, including the Tour Championship and the year-long FedEx Cup race, not to mention being named PGA Tour Player of the Year. The list goes on.

Well, AT&T, one of Spieth’s sponsors, decided to celebrate the 22-year-old Texan with a giant mosaic of the golfer’s likeness that was made with 24,152 golf balls at Main Street Gardens in downtown Dallas.

Jordan Spieth’s left arm has been getting quite a bit of throwing practice lately. Less than two weeks ago, Spieth, a Dallas native, threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers game. On Tuesday evening, Spieth had the same honor at Fenway Park ahead of the face-off between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.

How did the reigning Masters and U.S. Open champion fare?
