WATCH: Suzann Pettersen speaks out on Solheim Cup controversy
By Stephanie Wei under Solheim Cup

Suzann Pettersen discusses the controversy that occurred on the 17th green in the four-ball match between her and Charley Hull against Alison Lee and Brittany Lincicome at the Solheim Cup.

As you may recall, Lee missed her birdie putt to win the hole and then thought she heard the tap-in was conceded, but Pettersen contested that and said they had not given it to Lee. Pettersen and Hull went on to win the hole and the match. However, the Americans had the last laugh, with the incident igniting them to the biggest comeback in Solheim history during the singles matches and resulting in a 14.5-13.5 victory over the Europeans.

Pettersen was strongly criticized by many in the golf world and fans, who saw her actions as unsportsmanlike. The following morning, she issued an apology for her behavior.

This is the first interview Pettersen has given since the Solheim Cup.
