Watch: Stenson’s bad birdie
By Stephanie Wei under British Open

Henrik Stenson struck his tee shot on the par-4 15th near a bird, which decided to do a little dance around his ball, in the second round of the Open Championship at St Andrews. Luckily, the bird was unable to pick up the ball, but it did have a go and pecked at it for a bit before giving up.

However, had the bird flown away with the ball, a la Steve Lowery and the seagull at the 1998 Players Championship, Stenson would have been permitted to replace the ball to the closest possible spot where it initially stopped.
