Even the AARP is making jokes at Tiger Woods’ expense. Woods had a rough day at the Old Course, opening with a four-over 76 in benign conditions on Thursday morning, but it just got a little more brutal, thanks to the 50-plus crew over at the AARP.
In Tiger’s pre-tourney press conference Tuesday, he was asked if he’s ever considered hanging up the clubs for good. “Retirement? I don’t have my AARP card yet,” the 14-time major champion cracked.
Well, the elderly fired back with the following tweet shortly after he finished the first round of the Open Championship.
.@TigerWoods It’s better to be over 50, than it is to be over par. #DisruptAging #TheOpen

Wow. Shots fired! That’s pretty harsh. At the same time, I’m not going to lie — I laughed out loud. I’m assuming it was meant to be a light-hearted joke, but you know it’s bad when the AARP piles on after a crappy day at the office.
Lesson learned: Respect your elders.
