After three years of marriage, Jason and Amanda Dufner reached a divorce settlement the day after the golfer finished T24th at the Valspar Championship earlier this month.
According to court documents obtained by GolfChannel.com, the Dufners have been separated since February 17, 2015. The divorce settlement, which was filed by Amanda Dufner on March 16, states that there had been an “irretrievable breakdown of the marriage” and there was “a complete incompatibility of temperament that the parties can no longer live together.”
Amanda will receive $2.5 million in the settlement, while Jason will retain ownership of two homes in Auburn, Alabama, including one that is under construction on a 46-acre lot.
The judge has yet to make a final ruling, but it is expected to occur in April.
Representatives for both Jason and Amanda declined to comment.
We at WUP are saddened by the news, as obviously, divorce is never a pleasant situation. Plus, we really liked the Dufners as a couple. We wish them the best.
Jason will play in next week’s Masters.
