One thing’s for sure — Adam Scott is one discreet individual. He tied the knot this past April in a very private ceremony (where guests received invites to a “garden party”) with longtime girlfriend Marie Kojzar in the Bahamas. Now, the world no. 3 golfer has revealed that he and his wife are expecting their first child in nine weeks, according to Australian Golf Digest.
“I’m going to be doing that pretty soon; it’s not far away now. In nine weeks,” said the 34-year-old.
“We’re not going to be in one place very long at the moment so it’s going to be a travelling baby and have to do with a makeshift bed for the time being but I’m pretty sure it won’t know the difference.
“Fortunately I’ve paid attention to all the guys trying to figure out how to raise their kids [on tour]. I’m sure there are no secrets and you learn as you go along but I might have to ask for some nappy-changing advice.”
Scott said the exciting news came as somewhat of a surprise.
“I was probably surprised more than anything,” Scott said of his reaction to the pregnancy. “Nothing was really planned but of course incredibly excited.
“It’s got to that point in life and it will be a new challenge and hopefully a lot of fun.”
Scott, who is playing in the Australian PGA Championship this week, is currently in third place at the halfway mark.
