The BMW PGA Championship kicks off tomorrow at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England. All of the top names on the European Tour will be vying for the title including Henrik Stenson, who has an opportunity to obtain the top spot in the world golf rankings.
Stenson is among the big story lines at the BMW PGA Championship. According to Bernie McGuire of the AP, if Stenson finishes higher than Adam Scott finishes at the Crowne Plaza, he will become number one in the world unless Matt Kuchar wins the Crowne Plaza, in which case Kuchar will become the top golfer.
Also teeing it up at Wentworth are Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, two-time champ Luke Donald, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Ernie Els, Martin Kaymer, and Sergio Garcia.
The top players will be looking to boost their position in the season-long Race to Dubai. Thomas Bjorn currently leads the Race with Jaime Donaldson, Louis Oosthuizen, Sergio Garcia, and Miguel Angel Jimenez rounding out the top-five.
Tomorrow will be a full day of golf on the Golf Channel. Start off your morning with the BMW, then head across the pond to watch the Senior PGA Championship, the Crowne Plaza, and end your day with the LPGA.
