Playing in torrential showers for most of the morning at Oak Hill, Adam Scott and Justin Rose battled difficult and soggy conditions and managed to stay afloat on Friday morning — or near the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Championship despite getting the less favorable side of the draw.
Scott, who opened with a 65 for a share of the first-round lead, posted a respectable two-under 68, while Justin Rose shot 29 on the front nine (he teed off no. 10, so after it stopped raining) to post a four-under 66.
Scores in the afternoon are expected to be significantly lower, with mild and soft conditions after it dumped buckets in the morning.
Tiger Woods is one-under through seven holes at the moment.
