Hello from the sauna, otherwise known as Atlanta Athletic Club, for the third round of the PGA Championship. It’s moving day and there’s certainly been a lot of shifting so far. The WSJ.com live-blog has been up and kicking for the past hour. Please stop by and say hi!
The dumbest cruelest closing stretch in golf continues to give golfers trouble. Here’s a chart, via an email from the PGA Tour:
Rookies second-round co-leader Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele have both managed to reach the top of the leaderboard in their first major. They never played in a PGA Tour event before 2011, but each managed to capture a victory this season. They also share the same agent, Ben Harrison, who is having quite the year himself!
Alright, the leaderboard is shaping up nicely. Wonder how it’ll look at the end of the day…a fellow member of the media organized a pool for the combined score of Dufner and Bradley in today’s round — the lowest someone took was even-par, 140.
