Your Wells Fargo Championship Second Round Open Thread

North Carolina's own Bill Haas shot 64 yesterday

The second round of the Wells Fargo Championship is underway! Overnight leader Bill Haas is on the course and building on his two-shot overnight lead. Currently one-under through six holes, he may not be on course to equal yesterday’s 64, but has seen his lead stretched to three shots. His nearest challengers, David Toms and Jonathan Byrd (who could be Bill Haas’s brother, really– same square-jawed, all-American look, and his baseball cap also hides a head of thinning hair), have yet to start their second rounds.

Of the big names out this morning, Davis Love, Rickie Fowler (‘The Playmobil Kid‘) and Phil Mickelson are making a run for the summit of the leaderboard. The three are tied on five under par, with Vijay Singh a shot further back.

Martin Kaymer, Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington are due to tee off around lunchtime.

Get on the comments thread and let me know how you see the day panning out. Does Bill Haas have the (golf)balls for a wire-to-wire victory?
