Friday Leftovers: Muffin Edition
By Conor Nagle under The Masters

YE Yang: muffin man

Though the third round is well under way, I thought I’d reheat some of the best moments from Friday’s post-round interviews and press conferences. Enjoy!“When I usually come out on Tour, I usually start breakfast at the clubhouse, always continental. Must have finish which for a bagel, no eggs, no meat. Muffin.”– Even a mangled press conference transcript can’t hide Y.E. Yang’s love of the humble muffin.

“I putted like a womble over the two days.”– Padraig Harrington’s frank appraisal of his performance on the greens. (courtesy of Brian Keogh)

“I was looking forward to the challenge, but the challenge was to make the cut. I know that’s difficult to believe, but it’s true.”– Alvaro Quiros didn’t have high expectations for the second round, even after his opening 65.

“I squatted about 155 kilograms.”– You wouldn’t want to have messed with fifteen-year-old KJ Choi, by the sounds of things.

“If you get the putter going out here, you can make a lot of putts.”– Dustin Johnson states the obvious… or does he?
