As expected, first-round play of the Phoenix Open has been delayed due to frost. In other words, the ground is frozen and temperatures aren’t rising at TPC Scottsdale. At 9:30am local time, it’s 32 degrees. Good news is that it’s finally not below freezing! Right now, officials hope to start play around 10:40am (three-hour delay), but look for the delay to be delayed again.

Best threesome group that might get in a few holes today? Jhonattan Vegas, Camilo Villegas and Angel Cabrera at 11:16am.

The pro-am scheduled at TPC Scottsdale’s sister course across the street, the Champions, will still take place. Groups will tee off starting around 11am.

Stay tuned for more updates on the status of the Greatest Show on the Frost.

*Update: Turned out to be a four-hour delay. Play began at 11:40am local time.
