As reported on Sunday, Dustin Johnson, whose relationship with Natalie Gulbis went public on Saturday, was withdrawing from this week’s Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii. He officially pulled out of the event on Monday. DJ’s agent David Winkle told the AP in an email that DJ had some “personal matters” to deal with at home in South Carolina.
Johnson has declined to confirm his relationship with Gulbis, but she told golf.com that they were dating. Gulbis followed DJ’s group on Saturday and Sunday.
Gulbis and DJ share a swing coach, Butch Harmon, and equipment sponsor, TaylorMade-Adidas.
DJ had (has?) a live-in girlfriend Amanda Caulder, whom he brought as his date to the Ryder Cup. The two had (has?) been dating since college.
Drama, drama, drama!
